Alveranga/Ward Residence

Charles McAfee was asked to do the house for Dr. Denise Alveranga and her husband, Dr. Eugene Ward. She was on the Board of Directors with Charles McAfee when he was appointed and elected to the United Network for Organ Sharing Board of Directors. He was in the Board Meeting with her when she said, “Charles, I’ve talked to my husband, we’d like for you to fly down to Tampa to look at the site we bought and design our house.” The lot was situated adjacent to a Jack Nicklaus Golf Course in North Tampa. Charles designed the swimming pool, but had to put a fence around it to keep out the alligators who might come by and want to go in the swimming pool.
