Fulton County Northside Library

This single story building is approximately 11,070 sf. The exterior renovation includes replacement of the existing roof, cleaning and upgrade of the building exterior skin, a redesign of the exterior entrance with energy efficient glazing for a new vibrant foyer, atrium, patron, and visitor entrance. Parking areas were redesigned to accommodate updated accessibility standards and were resurfaced and restriped. The interiors included complete reorganization, expansion and enhancement of collaboration spaces and meeting rooms to accommodate larger public functions; complete upgrades to all restrooms; a new reflected ceiling plan; redesigned floor areas and spaces provide excellent circulation and access to highlight and enhance children, teens and adult reading and activity areas; and reorganizing of all stack areas. Lowering the height of the stacks and reorientation of the layout of the shelves and stacks provide for better visual observation and safety for all patrons. McAfee3 developed a materials board with color palates and options for flooring, paint, furniture, and other key features. The building is fully sprinkled.
